Also the -monitor option will reschedule late night talk and news etc. It extends the end time I found extending post-padding wasn't reliable but I might try that again. So I cannot avoid the possibility of Conflict or Failure with a dual tuner if I plan to record three programs in a row, right? Quote:My understanding is that the only thing possible is to add post-padding to Sunday night programs, calculated based on the length of the sports that preceded them. postgame possibly I will post an example in the next post. Quote:Other than "-sd" is there anything else I need to do for post-sports programs? Quote:I need to turn off extending in the NextPVR settings, right?
#Sagetv schedules direct update
If I decided to cancel it I will let users know and update the program. You can run an instance of the web server locally but since I didn't want to do this I created one, I made my server on the web and decided to share it with NextPVR users.

Quote:Do I have to download livePVRData separately from NextEnd? In the NextPVR batch files it won't make too much difference That was more for command line line but it doesn't ever hurt. Quote:Besides adding "> NULL" after "-monitor" are there other places I should add "> NULL" to avoid NextPVR disruption? Good questions here but the wiki is really the reference document, I am using this thread to help with the wiki. If you turn off NextPVR extending in config.xml NextEnd should work from an alternate source Note that if you do want to extend sports recordings and also have the NextPVR feature enabled, if SD stays down your games won't be extended. Start /b "" "%PROGRAMFILES%\NPVR\NextEnd.exe" -monitor > NULLĬheck the wiki for additional options (ie, -jit, -sd) that can be used with the monitor.Īlso you still need to setup ParallelProcessing.bat to run NextEnd on follow-up recordings. Start /b "" "%PROGRAMFILES(x86)%\NPVR\NextEnd.exe" -monitor > NULL I have updated the wiki linked in post 1 with current release.įor now if you don't want to be bothered with updating batch files to test today, you can manually run NextEnd from the command line

Mvallevand Wrote:With football potentially impacting many shows tonight on Fox and CBS plus CTV here in Canada and with problems on Schedules Direct, I decided to open up the beta to everyone. eg if the game ends 10 minutes early the show will be extended by 5 minutes automatically. early needs -cancel but but they don't impact followup reccording If a game ends early then the follow up games are extended to allow for this. Quote:Also, if I use -early along with -postgame will the recording get the additional 15 min or will it stop when the game is over with no additional 15 min? NextEnd will not adjust the start time, because there is no guarantee that the start times aren't adjusted by the network Instead the -resume option sets a resume point to where it could be (without postgame padding) I'm not sure that possible though with "sports time" in between. Quote:What I'd like to occur, and I'm not sure it's possible, is for example if on your channel 518, if the NFL game runs over that the "Once upon a Time" start & end time would be adjusted. ParallelProcessing will deal with recordings Quote:On the PostStartup.bat, would it be a good idea to also add the commands there also to ensure the monitors continue? I'm a bit fuzzy on when it's needed and not needed. The NULL isn't required but there is screen output from NextPVR this just prevents it from causing disruptions Quote:and is the ">NULL" required as you put above? You wouldn't use -monitor in parallel processing Quote:or is each a separate line in the ParallelProcessing.bat I will separate the options better on the wiki Also -postgame need value in minutes The command lines options are stacked but -monitor and -oid doesn't make sense so only -monitor would run. Start /b "" "%PROGRAMFILES(x86)%\NPVR\NextEnd.exe" -monitor -early -postgame > NULL

If we want multiple options are they stacked? I looked over the wiki but I'm a bit confused on all the options. Snagglewest Wrote:Martin, thank you SO much for reviving NextEnd!Ī few questions just so I get it right.
